Favorite shotty?
Let's get this thing rolling! What does everyone prefer for a shotgun, a sporting gun, or a combat style gun? I always preferred the short 18 or 20 inch tube guns, and routinely use them for hunting, good swing through for skeet use, too. I like the Mossberg, and some Chinese copies, all work good.

It is not a skeet Shotty which I want to get next, but if anyone need a streetsweeper it is a good pick. S.F.Vic.

I went to shoot skeet a while back and lost interest when I saw the price of targets! $10 a case at the local gunshop, Wally world had $6 on them, still too much. I used to pay $2.50 a case a couple of years ago, and was horrified when I saw the $3.50 price last year! Oh well, sign of the times I guess. I'll just save my shells and go kill some real moving game animals, it tastes better too, that way! Actually bought a hunting license this year, so I intend to get some use out of it.

I own a Rem. 870 Express Syn. 12 Gauge, 18 In., Pump action When Gary (Zipgraver) gets home from his vaction he will be here, He also has the Rem 870 and swears by it for shooting skeet. I have the need for one I haven't shot much skeet here in AZ because of the heat, but soon it will be cooling down, so I need one lol.

Well my go to gun is a Rem 870 express done in olive drab and black synthetic stocks. I have retired my old Savage o/u that I used for hunting since age 11,so now I hunt with Beretta 390 and 391.Also have Winchester model 12 Im planning on making into riot/trench gun.

mine's a winchester 1300 defender. side saddle and stock stuffer.

I own a Mossberg Mavrick 12 ga pump.

Benelli Nova, though I'd really like to pick up an 870 so I can trick it out to a combat shotgun. Use my Nova for quail hunting, does the job nicely.

Im a Mossberg sorta guy M500s and M590A1s but have had many Remington 870s and both to me are about the same, i like the safty on the mossberg and this is the only reason the Mossberg wins for me. I was actully found of the old New England single shots for a long time and loved to hunt with them due to the lighter weight of them.

Most of my hunting and woods bumming was done with a NEF single, of different calibers. Their rifles are a good buy too, I had one in .223 that was super accurate, and only cost me $125 new back then. I still use them, but prefer the short pumps.

I bought a 20" vent rib bbl for my mossberg and it has the screw in chokes ,,, gonna try it out this fall, if the rain stops maybe even today! As for the NEF singles i want one in 500 S&W!
