Nice looking belt. But what is that loop thing at the bottom.

Around 14 lbs IIRC.
The new belt and the old one actually weigh just about the same.

That is alot to carry for the next 20 years or so, is the extra set of cuff's needed? I don't know the dept rules there but you could use also a lighter flashlight, like a surefire, plus I beleive you added a note pad also on the new one. I know the 2'' belts are heavy but if you put the baton where the lighter flashlight will go it should equal out each side of the belt at this point one side seems heavier then the other, Just a thought for futhers years and your back bro. I do like the new belt.

It is actually quite balanced.
I don't want a lighter flashlight, a Stinger is not the best impact weapon, but it is much much better than a Surefire. I don't care for flashlights with the button being on the endcap either.
There is no notepad. The thing all the way to the right is the microphone for my in-car camera system. Kinda stuck with that.
2-cuffs are a must. I'd carry more if I could. Hands kill. Seize the hands, your chance of survival goes way up.
I used to have more in the car, but lost them.
Example.
I carry 2 pairs on me, the deputy in this story carries 2 pairs as well on him. He also had an extra set in his vehicle.
I was following him, not going anywhere, I just happened to be behind him. We top a hill at the edge of a very well known high drug traffic area.
BAM. 3 cars stopped in the middle of the road with 2 different fights going on at the same time. IIRC there were 8 people.
Immediately there are 3 coming out of the woods with blood on their hands and shirts, and a female having been stabbed in the jaw.
Another car behind mine, with 2 people in it, another party states they have a black handgun.
Something about a robbery and dope, then the fights.
Cuffed 5 and held more at gunpoint and THANKFULLY noone ran or fought until the entire county arrived to assist.
And that was luck, pure luck that we happened to be traveling together and happened up on the scene at the same time, or it may have been much uglier.
2 cuffs are a must.
Not to mention larger people often require 2 sets of cuffs be linked together, I run into that often.

Yep...haha....looks like a rookie's Sam Brown for sure ;D
Things to ease the risk of long term problems....a leather duty belt. Much more pliable and easier on the back as well as comfortable. Not sure what yours is.
There is always titanium cuffs, titanium expandable batons, poly flashlights like Streamlights to lesson the weight.
The round thing on the bottom of the pic are the belt keepers that attach to the underbelt. I am not sure where GSD17 has the room for these...LOL

It all kind of scrunches up when I lay it out, when it is on me, I have the room for keepers.
I know I could lighten my load a bit by carrying lighter gear, I just don't care to. This stuff sits just fine on me and is decently comfortable since I am small.
Accumold Elite is fake leather, but you could not tell it by handling it, it looks, feels, and sqeaks just like leather, it is just much lighter than actual leather.

It's not the look or feel of the leather, but the pliability. As long as it is comfortable, conforming and doesn't pinch like Safariland's fake belts you should be set. I swapped to a Safariland leather and it was a world of difference.

You should really look into at least a threat level II holster. I use a Safariland Raptor.

It is a level 2.
It has auto retention with a hidden button. Grabs my trigger guard, and of course the thumbsnap.

from what I have learned over the years,, never put your cuffs behind your back. you want them accessible from your left or right hand. Nothing like a flex cuff under the belt for hidden matters. I want a light load for rolling with 200 lbs of a$$hole

I can reach either pair with either hand, and can reach the pair with the matching hand without any stretching and reaching.
I know they shouldn't be back there for spinal issues though... working on it.
